Love Ya To Pieces

Feb. 10, 2013

This morning, hubby's hug was different.  It was something really special. I felt so loved that tears started falling.  I whispered a prayer to God and I said, "Lord, I really, really, love this man.  Thank you for the circumstances that led me to meet him. Thank you that I knew You through Him".

To my dearest hubby:

I thank God that He is the one writing our story
... that he meant for us to meet,
to fall in love,
to start a covenant with Him,
to build a family,
to serve & worship Him ,
to be filled  & be satisfied in this life
& together look forward to a  glorious future with Him.
I thank God because He chose you to be my lifetime partner.
I love you & I will love you forever.

Love, Love, Love

February is love, love, love month for hubby and me.   This month, we will be celebrating our 12th  wedding anniversary.  Yay! The Lord has made these twelve years, the best years of my life ... and I believe that the "best of the best" is yet to come.

Love this quote by John Piper:

"Love
can't be equated with any action.
Love is the overflow of joy - in God.
It is not duty for duty's sake
or right for right's sake.
It is not a resolute abandoning
of one's own good with a view
solely to the good of the other person.
It is first a  deeply satisfying
experience of the fullness
of God's grace, and then a
doubly satisfying experience
of sharing that grace with
another person."

12 years ... without God's love, Alvin and I wouldn't be able to love each other unconditionally.  Without God's love, we cannot forgive and overlook irritations.  We are not a perfect couple but our marriage gives us a "deeply satisfying experience" which is but an "extension of our joy in God".  Whenever we serve God together, we feel the fullness of this joy.   What greater intimacy is there when even our soul and spirit unite?

12 years and counting ... We are looking forward to more wonderful years together.  I know there will be trials and tests but there will also be victories. The Lord is faithful and because He is, we can rest in His love ... together.

Amazing Grace

Home is love Nov 2010 collab from GDS
Amazing Grace by Chris Tomlin
05/18/13-Unstoppable Faith-Nick Vujicic Asian Tour

Nick's testimony was so encouraging and inspiring but one thing that really touched my heart was when he shared what made him change his mind about committing suicide. He said it was the love that his family showed him. He said he really, really, really, really felt the love of his parents and he can't bear the thought of seeing them cry at his grave. Made me think if I show the same love to my kids. Do I encourage them with my words? Do I build them up or tear them down? Do they see Jesus in me? When they grow up, would they totally surrender their lives to Jesus because they have seen how real He is in our life?

"...The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures..."

Lord, You are an awesome God! Thank you for your unending love, your amazing grace!
